In this era of globalization, advancements in science and technology are constantly breaking new boundaries and opening new avenues. One driving force for these advancements in science and technology has been the increasing nature of collaborative and interdisciplinary research work that are being carried out.
For example, the Large Hadron Collider experiment in CERN which led to the discovery of the ‘Higgs boson’ involved scientist from various participating organizations and fields. In cloning Dolly at the Roslin Institute the team led by Prof. Sir Ian Wilmut was made up of scientist, embryologist, surgeons, vets and farm staff.
