The Center for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, Nepal is a non-profit organization that is committed to providing a platform to Educate, Conduct Research and Innovate in the areas of Biomaterials and Tissue engineering. Students and researchers in Nepal do not have the opportunity to study and explore these amazing fields of science and technology which are constantly breaking boundaries, opening new frontiers and having a real impact in healthcare and development.
It is because of these reasons that CBTEN has imbibed Education, Research and Innovation in its core principle. We really believe that education is a basic fundamental right of every individual. Upholding the same educational right, we also believe that each child and researcher in Nepal irrespective of their gender, economic, religious and cultural background must have the opportunity to study and explore these fields. The fact that Nepal, ranks amongst one of the least science and technologically advanced countries in the world must not be a hindrance in their pursuit to study or conduct research in these areas.
It is, therefore, our vision and mission to provide access to these subjects, which are amongst the highly advanced science and technological disciplines. This is particularly more important as these subjects and research in these areas are highly relevant in today’s context and can have a real impact in people’s life, healthcare and in the development of the country.
So who are we? To know more about, how CBTEN was envisaged and the dynamic people comprising of national and international researchers, medical innovators, academics and social entrepreneurs . . .
